Sender Policy Framework – SPF Record
SPF Record stands for the Sender Policy Framework in the DNS Record.
- These are written in the TXT Record in a particular format.
- SPF Record are used to find which mail exchange hosts are trusted to send emails. It is a authentication system of mail servers which allows the emails to land in primary inbox, if the emails do not get a “PASS” from the SPF then they might land in the spam folder.
- In addition, it applies its rules on the IP of the sender, to check that the sending server is trusted or not.
Following is the format of the SPF which should be written in a single line:
